Information on (waste) electric and electronic equipment

on

This information is intended for private households that use electrical and electronic equipment. Proper disposal is crucial to protect the environment and ensure your safety. Please take note of the following guidelines for the environmentally friendly disposal of old electronic appliances.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Disposal

Waste electrical and electronic devices should not be disposed of with general household waste. They must be collected separately and disposed of using designated collection and recycling systems. These appliances must be handled and disposed of in accordance with local waste management regulations.

Before disposal, remove any waste batteries or accumulators that are not permanently integrated into the device. This rule does not apply if the waste equipment is separated by public waste management authorities as part of a process for preparing it for reuse, as per Regulation 53 of the UK's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2013.

The symbol indicating separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment is a crossed-out wheeled bin, which signifies that the device should not be disposed of with regular waste.

Returning Waste Equipment

If you’ve purchased an electrical or electronic appliance from us, you can return an old appliance of the same type to us for environmentally responsible disposal. For example, if you purchase a new vacuum cleaner, you may send back your old one.

Additionally, small electrical appliances (those under 25 cm in size) can be returned to us, regardless of whether they were purchased from us.

In both cases, the old appliance does not need to have been purchased from us. We’ll send you a prepaid shipping label for returning the waste appliance, ensuring it’s properly disposed of.

If you have any questions or need assistance with returning your old device, contact our support team. Our team is happy to provide the necessary return instructions and shipping label.

Data Protection

Some waste devices, such as smartphones or computers, may contain sensitive personal data. It’s important to ensure that any personal data stored on the device is securely deleted before disposal to prevent unauthorized access.
